Just like that another year has come and gone. Monday we had our JDRF Reward at the high school. Mr. Lindstrom's 4th graders were quite the little fish and I thought I could wear them out-but was proven wrong! Tuesday was our school carnival- it was an absolute blast. Thank you so much to all the teacher, parents, and businesses that helped make this day a success. I am positive there wasn't a smile-less face. Thursday, was FIELD DAY! It could not have been better weather. Mrs. CYHO's 5th graders were the champs of the Upper Classman Tug of War division, with Mrs. Richey's Kindergartners taking on and defeating the 1st graders for the lower division. The obstacle course was a new addition this year instead of the parachute, and it seemed to go really well. ( I may have saw some future track stars emerging- fingers crossed!)
It has been a pleasure to have your kiddos this year! I hope you all have a safe and active summer, and get to go on all the adventures--I know that's how my summers usually look! See you in the fall.

With it being a short week and kids getting pulled in all different directions I thought it would be a great opportunity for us to better our skills in lawn games-games that they will more than likely play over the summer, and a brush up on rules/how to play would be beneficial. We had lots of fun this week in a less structured, more relaxed atmosphere than they are typically used to. We had cornhole, ladderball, washer toss, badminton (in gym- wind), giant balls and giant frisbee's, bocce ball, and Kan Jam. Lots of fun was had!
