Kindergarten-2nd GradersWe are working hard at practicing rolling. We are still developing using our opposite hand/opposite arm, and keeping the ball in contact with the ground during delivery. Students played tic-tac-toe bowling with a partner against another pair of students. It was so funny to watch them earn a piece and strategize where would be the best place to put it! Needless to say, I walked by many times and seen where the kids could have won but chose another square! Those diagonal tic-tac-toes seem to be forgotten! The second half of the week they were able to do more traditonal bowling. Students were in teams of 3 or 4 (Bowler/ Pin setter/watcher) and they got to try and roll and hit all ten pins! 3rd-5th GradersWe started off this week with hand scoring a traditional bowling game. We learned exactly why strikes and spares add up so much faster! Our approach and accuracy have improved greatly this week! The last half of the week was dedicated to 4 corner bowling. I like 4 corner bowling because they decide how many people they need defending the pins and how many they want bowling. It is higher cardio after our relaxing traditonal bowl at the beginning of the week.
