Kdg.- 2nd GradersMrs. Dougherty's class and Ms. Sherbinow's classes were able to get out and try the showshoes after our snowfall this past weekend. Unfortunatley, we had freezing rain and sub zero temps the next couples days so the other 1st and 2nd graders will have to wait for better weather. They had a good time, and many were surprised how hard it was to turn around in them! We had 100th day stations for the beginning of the week. Students participated in a wide variety of activities such as juggling scarves, jump roping, basketball dribbling etc. Doing 100 of an activity really got our hearts beating. We played hockey clean up the remainder of the week. Students were divided on teams and worked together to get the most balls in their goals. They were able to use the steppers too, which was fun! 3rd-5th GradersThis might have been their favorite unit so far! We worked on our hockey skills in a game of sideline hockey in the beginning of the week, and played mini games towards the end. In the mini games, students played a game for 6 minutes straight and then we would use a randomizer app and they would get new teams each time. They really seemed to like this because they were able to play with more people and if they had a good or bad team, they knew it was only for a portion of time, then they would switch.
