Kdg.-2nd GradersWe started off this week with our annual Halloween Stations! The kids were cheering when they came into the gym, and several told me it was one of their favorite days-definitely makes set-up worth it! We had seven stations this year: (1) Spider Web Fling (2) Tangled Web (3) Witches' Hat Toss/Pumpkin Tick Tac Toe (4) Spider Web Wall (5) Scootin' through the Pumpkin Patch (6) Feed Frankenstein (7) Monster March with Buddy Walkers. The favorite this year would have to have been between Spider Web Fling or the Pumpkin Patch Tag. The last half of the week we began our volleying skills. 2nd graders rotated around stations where as the Kdg. and 1st graders got to explore volleying with beach balls and balloons. 3rd-5th GradersUpper elementary took part in the same Halloween Stations as the lower elementary did above. We then progressed into our volleyball unit at the end of the week. We have three main skills we are focusing on, passing, setting and serving. Each day of the volleyball unit students will time themselves for one minute doing either pass or set, in order to see how much they grow as the unit goes on. I can't wait to see how much we improve.
