Kdg.-2nd GradersThis was a great week! So many smiles, so much fun moving! The week started off with us talking about the importance of safety in general space. We played, "Spot the Spot." Poly spots were spread out around the gymnasium and underneath two of them were cards that said you are it. Those students were able be taggers for two minutes, and people they froze were able to get up in a variety of different ways. (see below for our high five planks). The second half of the week we played rock, paper, scissors hoop jump. RPS hoop jump is the internet video sensation that has been sent to me countless times this summer. I doctored it up a bit to allow for maximum participation and gamified it with levels for goals. 3rd-5th GradersWe completed our fitness testing this week and chose to set goals. We talked about making SMART goals that were specific and realistic. Each student filled out a goal sheet that we will look back on during January and May. Upper elementary also played RPS hoop jump, and I think they got into it more than the younger kiddos!
